Neurological rehabilitation can support people following a stroke, as well as those living with conditions such as Parkinson’s disease and other neurological conditions. Treatment may focus on improving limb strength and movement, mobility and independence, while also using your home environment to help you safely practise and maintain your progress. Each assessment looks at how your condition is affecting you and identifies your specific functional limitations. Alex will work with you to understand your goals and what is most important to you, before creating a tailored rehabilitation plan.

Alex provides falls prevention physiotherapy to identify factors that may be increasing your risk of falling and help you feel safer and more confident on your feet. A detailed assessment will look at your balance, strength, mobility and walking, as well as potential environmental risks within your home, such as trip hazards. Alex will then provide a personalised programme of balance and strengthening exercises designed to improve stability, reduce your risk of falls and support your independence. You will also receive advice and education on what to do if you do experience a fall.

Your initial assessment will explore your symptoms, the area of pain or injury, your movement and strength, and any factors that may be contributing to your problem. This allows Alex to develop a clear understanding of your condition and create a treatment plan tailored to you. Treatment may include hands-on physiotherapy, pain management techniques and personalised rehabilitation exercises to help reduce pain, improve mobility and restore strength and function.

Alex will begin by reviewing your operation, medical history and any relevant post-operative advice before completing a detailed physical assessment. From this, he will develop a structured and progressive rehabilitation programme designed around your individual needs and stage of recovery. Treatment will focus on safely restoring movement, strength and stability while helping you return to the activities that are important to you.

Your assessment will include a detailed review of your respiratory and medical history, alongside physical assessments to understand your current exercise capacity, mobility and exercise tolerance. Alex will then develop a guided rehabilitation programme to safely improve fitness, strength and exercise tolerance. He can also provide education and practical strategies to help you manage symptoms such as breathlessness, understand your condition and support your overall respiratory health. Pulmonary rehabilitation may be suitable for people living with long-term respiratory and lung conditions including COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, bronchiectasis and lung cancer.

Alex provides physiotherapy for older adults, with treatment tailored to your individual abilities, goals and lifestyle. This may include personalised strength, balance and mobility exercises to help maintain physical function, improve confidence when moving around and reduce the risk of falls and injuries. For people who are experiencing reduced mobility, Alex can also assess how everyday activities and the home environment may be affecting independence, and provide practical strategies to help you remain active and confident in your own home.
